A reminder that this is the last week for the “Coats for Kids” program, so please get you or your team’s donation in this week.
So far we have exceeded our expectations for this program as collections to date have been outstanding! I think this demonstrates that being a member of the Boise Capital Soccer Club is more than just soccer.
Remember that if you drop a coat off at Soccer Etc’s store, you will receive a 25% discount off anything in their store.
On behalf of the Boise Capital Soccer Foundation, we thank you for your participation in this program. Your small donation will make a world of difference for a young child this winter. Thank you.
NICK SYKES and LIZ RUIZ were honored as the 5A Male and female "PLAYER OF THE YEAR" in the 2007 Southern Idaho Conference Awards. Veteran Capitals Coach CHRIS SIEGENTHALER was also honored as the GIRLS 5A COACH OF THE YEAR.
The Boise Capital Soccer Club Technical Staff and Board of Directors would like to recognize all of the Capitals Athletes who have been awarded this fall. Their achievement is a reflection of personal ambition and we are honored as a Club to be represented by the athletes. We also recognize that their achievement is a function of the support and challenge provided by teammates and coaches in the Club and in their respective High Schools. We are proud of this achievement.

Boise Capital Director of Coaching Dave Chesler returned from Rio with a Pan-Am Games silver medal after the US U20 Women shocked the tournament by advancing to the Championship match. The U20s - playing against other countries’ full National teams, won their group and then advanced to the final with a 2-1 semifinal win over Canada. The young American team succumbed to Brazil in the final before 70,000 in the famed Maracana Stadium to finish with a Silver Medal.
Coach Chesler (pictured with US U20 and UCLA Head Coach Jillian Ellis) is an assistant with the team who were using the event as preparation for the Under 20 World Championships in China next November.
Justin Hill and Brandon Dimbi have been selected to represent Region IV this Fall. Hill will be travelling with the '92 Boys over the Thanksgiving break to Orlando from November 23-27 while Dimbi heads to the Inter-Regional competition with the '91 Boys from December 26-31.
Our congratulations to both players on their selection !
Five Boise Capital boys were selected to the Region IV Olympic Development Pool this past Summer. Goalkeeper Derek Carver, who also attended the National selection camp in Boston at the end of July, was selected to the ‘94 age group; Kyle Menchaca to the ‘93 age group; Justin Hill to the ‘92 pool; and Zach Richardson and Brandon Dimbi to the ‘91 team. Region IV annually selects a pool of 24-30 players from the 14 Western States to represent the region.
Their success culminates a season in which the club captured eight state championships and had six teams advance to the 1/4 Finals of the Far West Regionals in Las Vegas, NV.
